The goal is to use the cards you have in hand to form runs—three or more consecutive cards of the same suit—and sets—three or four cards of the same rank. A fixed number of cards are dealt to each player at the start of the game. Starting with the top card turned face-up, the remaining cards form a face-down draw pile, and the discard pile begins.
