The goal is to draw and discard cards to create sets & runs, with the ultimate goal being to meld all of your cards before your opponents do. The number of cards dealt to each player is determined by the number of players, usually seven or ten. One face-up card initiates the discard pile, while the remaining cards form a draw pile.
