  • Fundamentally, Rummy is a skill-and strategy-based game in which players form sets & runs from a deck of cards. Being the first player to merge all of your cards into legitimate combinations is the main goal. Rummy is usually played with two to six players and uses a standard 52-card deck, though some variations use jokers as wild cards. While discarding unwanted cards and trying to form melds, players alternately draw cards from the discard pile or the stockpile. When one player successfully melds all of their cards, the game is over. At that point, points are determined by taking into account the cards that are still in the opponents' hands.
