  • A run is three or more cards of the same suit in a row, whereas a set is three or four cards of the same rank. Every player is dealt a hand of cards at the start of the game. The top card is flipped face-up to begin the discard pile, while the remaining cards form a face-down draw pile in the middle. After taking turns drawing from the draw or discard pile, each player discards one card from their hand. The winner is the player who doesn't have any more cards in their hand.
