PokerStars Live is currently focused on a major North American series — North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Las Vegas — but will soon be headed to South America for another festival. The PokerStars Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) Millions kicks off Nov. 15 and runs through Nov. 29.
All the action will take place in Sao Paulo at the WTC Sheraton and it will be the biggest poker event in Latin American history.
BSOP Series Highlights
The Brazilian Series of Poker is a tour organized by PokerStars. The first BSOP tournament took place in Sao Paulo in 2008 and has visited several destinations across Brazil. It has also held events in Uruguay and Argentina, and the next one will be back in Brazil — and this one is going to be massive.
How massive? Well, it's going to feature the largest prize pool in Latin American history with USD $2 million guaranteed in the USD $5,000 buy-in BPO Millions Championship, which begins Nov. 19. There will three Day 1 starting flights, one per day. The final table is scheduled for Nov. 25.
While the Millions Championship is going to be huge, it isn't the only big event on the schedule. In fact, there are many others, such as the USD $2,000 1-Day High Roller PKO, a USD $200,000 guaranteed event. The USD $3,000 6-Max Challenge on Nov. 23 (USD $300,000 guaranteed) and USD $50,000 250k The Legends on Nov. 25 are just some of the best tournaments poker players will find at the Brazilian Series of Poker in Sao Paulo. PokerNewswill be on-site live reporting the Millions Championship from start to finish.
The USD $800 Main Event, a no-limit hold'em affair, starts on Nov. 20 with the first of eight Day 1 sessions and promises at least USD $2 million in the pot. The tournament is set to conclude with Day 6 on Nov. 28. It is going to be a marathon poker tournament that should be exciting from start to finish.
