Each player earns points according to the value of the cards they still have in their hand; the player who declares Rummy wins the game and receives zero points.
  • A fixed number of cards are dealt to each player at the start of the game. Face down on the table, the remaining cards make up the draw pile. The discard pile is started by turning the top card in the draw pile face up. Each player takes a turn drawing cards from the draw or discard pile and then discarding one card from their hand.
  • Played all over the world, rummy is a popular card game. Usually, two to six people play with a standard 52-card deck. Forming sets & sequences of cards in one's hand is the aim of the game. Three or more cards in the same suit in succession make up a sequence, whereas three or more cards of the same rank make up a set.
